You’re warmly invited to join us for the Friends of Storylines Annual General Meeting (AGM) — a key event in our calendar and an important opportunity for all members to connect, contribute, and stay informed.
The AGM provides a platform for you, our members, to get updates on Storylines’ performance, finances, and future plans. It promotes transparency and holds the leadership accountable.
Attending the AGM and reviewing the associated paperwork ensures our members have a voice in decision-making and play an active role in the governance and success of Storylines.

The Bookshop Detectives’ Guide to Writing (and Staying Married)
Gareth and Louise Ward are the real-life duo behind Wardini Books, beloved independent bookshops based in Havelock North and Napier.
Once police officers in the UK, the pair met at police training college and have since traded badges for books. Louise is an English Literature graduate and former teacher. She now reviews books regularly on RNZ. Gareth, is the award-winning author of The Traitor and the Thief (winner of the 2015 Storylines Tessa Duder Award), The Clockill and the Thief, and the Tarquin the Honest and The Rise of the Remarkables series.
Together, they co-wrote The Bookshop Detectives, their first book as a writing team. When not immersed in the world of books, they’re devoted to their rescue dog Stevie, gardening, and live in Hawke’s Bay, Aotearoa New Zealand.
Don’t miss this entertaining and insightful session as they share The Bookshop Detectives’ Guide to Writing (and Staying Married) – a candid look into their creative process, co-authoring adventures, and life as booksellers and storytellers.
